I've had another go at the paper tearing page I made last month. Firstly I stamped the words reduce, reuse and recycle in the centre of the page. I wanted to muddy-up the strips, so I rubbed on some yellow ochre gouache - but that was way too yellow - so I rubbed it off with a wet cloth. While I had the watered down white gouache out for another project, I quickly sponged some over the top of the yellow ochre. The way the paint has made its way into the gaps between the strips is making me happy at the moment.
Check out what others have done for this project at Green Pepper Press.
Debra - another great take on using the strips! The texture of the edges really show up nicely with your paint treatment. Thanks for sharing your additional work for C42!
ReplyDeleteI had to enlarge the picture to get a good look at what's happening with the edges of the strips. I'm with you, the edges are working nicely.
ReplyDeleteStill amazed at those wonderful narrow strips. I love the stamps on them.
ReplyDeleteLovely page.
